Sugar SpoonSugar Spoon Ref: HAN1443

A fantastic sugar spoon from the rarest of silversmithing towns. Made by William Ferguson during his time in Forres c.1835. The marks Gothic "M", "Tower", Gothic "M" are the scarcist of Forres marks with perhaps an interesting twist. In Moss's book on Moray silver, the mark is quoted as a Gothic "M", but if you turn the mark upside down it could be read as "WF" co-joined, which might explain the missing makers mark!
